Carb setup with vacuum gauge?

You will have to excuse me I am not much of a computer head.I was planning on doing a search to to see if this question has been answered but I can't seem to find a search button to click on.Anyway could someone tell me the proper procedure for tuning a carb with a vacuum gauge?

Hook it up to a manifold vacuum source. Then adjust the mixture screws until you get the highest vacuum.

I believe you also need to make sure you keep the idle set proper. When you set the idle mixture screws your idle may change. make sure you keep an eye on it and set it as needed.
