I am having problems with the IDM and/or the PCM shutting down the driver side bank of cylinders. I replaced all the injector wiring harnesses on that side, and bought a refurbished IDM from Swamp's Diesel. But it is still doing the same thing! Any suggestions?
Does it throw any codes? Is your ICP good? (Although I would think that the ICP would effect all your injectors). Possible restriction in the HPOP line going to the driver's side rail? I dunno, that's a tough one...
Ahh, you've posted this before. Really strange problem. I would have bet on the IDM or wiring harness, but I guess that's out... Does the truck start on all injectors, then drop a bank? Is it intermittent, or does it do it all the time?
Come to find out, Swamp's Diesel sent me a bad IDM! We put another IDM out of another running truck and it fired right up! But now I can not get a hold of Swamp's to replace it. I guess I will have to end up buying a new one for $850! Does anyone know who is on charge at Swamp's Diesel???
Wow, sorry to hear that but at least you know what the problem is. You had me really scratching my head over that one... Give a call to Jon Ryan over there or send them an email. He oughta be able to help. I'm sure they'll get you another one. Let us know how it turns out.
yeah, for sure, keep trying to get ahold of Swamps, he's a good guy from what i have heard and i'm sure would fix the problem if it was from thier end. good luck
