2001 F-250 XLT std cab
Drivers side window will not go down, up function works normally. Passenger side works fine. I do not have a scan tool.
Switch tests good with a meter.
Motor works in both directions when plugged into harness on the passenger side.
Relays in the fuse box have been switched.
When power is applied to the to the drivers side window circuit, with the appropriate relay removed to isolate the GEM module, all works well.
This leads me to suspect the GEM module has a problem, is this a dealer only area?
Has anyone had to have their GEM replaced, reprogrammed etc. Any ideas of $$$?
Thanks in advance
Gary
will the window go down if you push down while the motor is going? My 99' sc windows would go down great if the glass was wet and slow when dry, but i could push them down while the motor was trying. It seems like the track guides may need some replacement/realignment. I've heard the glass can move out of the bottom slot as well. Ask a body shop they'll know!
