The new integrated brake controller is a great idea for the new 05 super duty. What about the trucks not ordered with it. So far dealers claim they are very expensive and may not be able to add. It seems odd that you'd have to clutter up the dash with after market controllers when there is a way to put it in the dash. Since Ford added another storage area there is not really any space for a controller. Does anyone have any current info on this or ideas to add after market?

I would have gladly paid for the option but, it wasnt available on the trucks i found. The truck did have the tow package. Seems Ford could do a better job on their packages.
its not ford who orders them like that its the dealer or district rep. out here all you see is f-250 and 350's on the dealer lots with the tow command system.

Installing TowCommand on 05 F-Series:
There is now a kit available to install TowCommand trailer braking system on trucks that were not originally equiped at the factory. For diesel and all dual rear wheel applications use kit 5C3Z-19H332-BA. For gasoline trucks with single rear wheels use kit 5C3Z-19H332-AA. Broadcast Message 4065.

Thanks rmblaster I'll check on the kit. any idea of cost? no matter we'll see if the dealer can find it. Thanks again
Wow! the tow command kit is $495.00 and the dealer says he isnt sure it can be hooked up to trucks that didnt have it from the factory! They also don't know what exactly comes in the kit. OUCH!
I believe the kit comes with a new master cyl and the control unit and every thing you would need to install it I havent made to a ford dealer that has one to see all the parts yet I was told it would cost around $395 and it is the kit to install tow command to trucks that were not ordered with it I would check with some other dealers because some of them have the kit in stock

Thanks Rmblaster your information has been vry helpful. The dealer said they were going to contact Ford and get updated info on the kit. I'll post my findings when I find out. Again thank you rmblaster for your help.
