1998 Ford Explorer 4wheel drive problem

1998 Ford Explorer 4wheel drive problem
My 1998 ford explorer has advance trac and it is trying to through the front end in at around 3,000 RPMs and after I pass 3,000 rpms it stops now this is only at speeds 35 and under it seems. Could it be a speed sensor on one if the wheels or another problem. Please let me know thanks Nick
