Fuse # 26 keeps blowing every time is replaced
Fuse # 26: Overdrive button, rear defroster and back up light
Where should I have start looking to correct malfunction

What! I thought you had ABS, injector and MAF problems. What kind of lemon have you picked up?
Well, I'd start with a wiring diagram - maybe from www.autozone.com and find out where to look for the short.

I have had my exp. for the last 5 years...... as you may imagine technical service down here is not as effective as in the US. Parts are imported from the US and sold 3 times more expensive that in the US and If I take my truck to a Ford dealership it will cost me an eye. My latest problem came up two days ago... fuse 26 keeps blowing not allowing to use O/D button and not been able to use rear<defroster and backup lights.......

If you know which part you need, try Russell and Smith Ford in Houston. They are pretty much the regional Ford Parts distributor in this area. They will ship for you and sell to you at the standard Ford screw the public price. At least it's better than paying 3x that and I'm sure they can FEDEX for you especially if you can set up an account with FEDEX and give them your account #. I recommended this to a guy in the US Virgin Islands and he was quite happy with their service. Just a thought. They carry just about everything in stock and they have a huge parts "complex" over by the Astrodome.
