Help, warm stalling, starting, idling problem!
I have a 94 F150 XLT 4x4 with a 302 110,000 miles. I just finished replacing my oil pump. Here is a list of things that I did when I changed the oil pump. I removed both the upper and lower intake manifolds, I removed the distributer, replaced the oil pump (and the tube and screen that is hooked to it), replaced my oil pan, upper & lower intake manifold gaskets, changed my oil & filter and replaced my spark plugs.
Ok having said all that, I didn't pay enough attention when I pulled off my distributer and had to reset my timing. When I took off my lower intake manifold my engine had like a quarter of an inch of sludge on it, so I cleaned all of that out.
Now, the truck is finally all back together and running. However, after I drive for while the oil pressure gauge drops to nothing...except if I am accelerating hard (when I am accelerating it goes back to normal). After the engine is nice and warm, and I come to a stop put the truck in reverse it will stall out (like when I get home after driving for a half hour and go to back the truck into a parking spot). Some times after it stalls it is really hard to start again, other times it starts pretty good. When it is cold it starts right up, no problem at all.
Thanks for the help in advance,
-Frank
