i have a 2004 250sclb. i just lifted it 8" and put 38's. i have lifted SD's before but never had a problem with the front shaft. yesterday when i took the truck off in the sugar sand, i started to climb this small hill and i hear a "Clunk"
i stop the truc mid way up the hill and saw that the front shaft has come out of the yoke. I took the front yoke off and slipped it back over the shaft and notice that it, only went in like 1". Besides the yoke getting a nice hairline fracture down the main spline. i was wondering does any body offer a longer yoke or do i need a longer shaft?? thanks any info would be greatly appreciated. Steve
i am in the process of goin from 6 to 8 and they tell me that you have to lengthen the driveshaft. i have a diesel and they say that if you have a gassser you shouldnt have to do anything, but every truck is different. as far as the longer yoke in not sure like to know though.
