Question And yet another wacky problem

I just bought a 96 E350 two weeks ago. I took it and had a brake controller and 7 pin plug installed. Today I tried to tow with it for the first time. The trailer lights were working with another vahicle last week and it is almost new. With this truck I have turn signals, and parking lights, on both sides but brake lights on only one side. The trailer brakes work. If I turn on either direction signal or the 4 ways then the brake lights work fine. With the am radio on the radio squeals when I hit the brakes or move the controller slide. It makes no noise with fm. I took it back to the place that did the work, and they tried to blame it on the turn signal switch. Does anybody have any ideas? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I had the same problem after I installed my brake controller then I moved both the power and ground to the battery. That stoped it the noise.
