4.10 gears

i have 01 with a 4.6. i keep hearing about the difference 4.10 gears will make on a truck like mine. i think i have 3.55 nows but i am unsure. as the tage on the axsle is not there.

what i would like to know is:
what i sould pay for a set of gears?
what type is best for the f150 8.8 rear end?
what i sould pay for that set?
if i sould install them myself or take them to someone?
and any other infor that i may need to know but did not ask for?

gears

try ebay for a set. the price depends on useage, if you have the money go for new. because you had to ask you should have someone else do the install. you may need a new carrier and bearings, always do the seal (seals if you do the axles) and you will need a new crush washer, and oil with aditative for a limited slip. its not a hard job but if you want a good job that will last along time you need to do it right.
