97 F350 Keyless entry

97 F350 Keyless entry
Not sure what forum to post this in, as its a 97 not a 87-96, but here it goes.
My dad has a 97 F350 Crewcab 4x4 PSD XLT, has had it for 2 months. Yesterday when troubleshooting why the cigarette lighter doesnt work, he found a box under the dash that says "Keyless entry". No remote of any kind came with the truck. Was this a factory option in 97 ? Also, the key we have for it will only open the drivers door and work the ignition. It will not unlock the passenger door. Is this normal ? If this truck did come with the keyless entry, where I can I go to get a new remote ? Thanks ahead of time, Trey.
