It's suppose to hit 105 degress just outside of here.
Call it a heat storm.
Not for me. I'll take the 60 degree temp over here in the city.
LOL, worked yesterday when I tried it Now it does the same thing for me -- redirects me straight to the Library of Congress! The URL is correct, I'd just try pasting it in:
I just went visited the new Cabela's store they just opened up down here near Ft. Worth and while I was there we aparently had a storm hit but this store is so huge I couldn't tell. it made the lights flicker a few times. but when I came outside there was trees down and debres everywhere and my truck was all wet :-p go figure.
Holy crap! I forgot that its open now
I live 5 miles from it (down I-70 on the other side of 377). Im gonna head on down there right now.
As for storm stories...
A few years ago, me and my friend were going to get some food with his brother in his Ranger, with 2 other girls. It had started hailing right when we pulled into Sonic. So we sat there and it started to die down. We got a call from the mother and she said that it was about to get REALLY bad. Well since it had died down we hauled ***** trying to get home and into the garage before it hit. We were about 2 miles from home when it hit...BASEBALL sized hail driving 50 mph (in a 30 zone, trying to get home), does not mix. It was LOUD! As soon as it started happening, the windshield looked like it was about to go, and it was. The girl that was sitting in the middle (we were in the back seat) was screaming. I tried telling her to move over either to me or the other kid and she wasnt listening. I unbuckled her and dragged her over on top of me (NO, NOT LIKE THAT ) so she would be behind the seat if it did bust. As we came upon a stop sign he tried to stop, and well wouldnt you know it, the gas pedal had stuck wide open. It got caught in a wrinkle in the carpet. He dropped it down a gear and just shut it off. We got goin agian and about another mile to go. You can barely see through the windshield now with all the spider cracks in it. He says "F THIS" and just plows over a yeild sign and into some sky high mullberry bushes. This saved our *****, and helped to protect the truck from further damage. All this happend in about a 3 minute span. When we finally got home his truck looked like it had been beaten with well....baseball bats and *****. Ill never forget that night.
Decatur GA a 40" Popular tree fell through a house and killed the husband. The only fortunate thing was the wife had gone downstairs to sleep with the kids in case they got upset with the thunder. It saved her life.

redstroker that store is so cool, I went up there with a buddy and we sniffed around up there for 3 hours without noticing. they've got a resturant in there too where you can get all kinds of good food from pizza to elk sandwhiches. big store, lemme know when you head over there, I'd deff. like to make another trip if I can.
I just got back, it is awesome. Puts Bass Pro to shame. I was walking around and would walk right back where I came from and notice something that I didnt see before. I kept doing that over and over. Didnt get to see all of it though.
Ya know guy's, I have lived in Florida all my life and love it! Texas, your gonna get your a$$'es handed to ya, be it a Hurricane or Tornados. Westcoast, ya gotta love them earthquakes. Midwest, well, called Tornado alley for a reason. I have 365 days of fishable weather. My kids were in the pool during bands of DENNIS blowing threw. I kept right on working on the Bronco. It's kinda like going to your mother-in-laws house, ya know it's coming, prepare for it, then recover!! We all have our crap we have to deal with. Next hurricane come's, Ya'll invited over my house. By the way, it's bring your own Beer!

This isn't so much a story as it is pictures. I was in my apartment the other day, looking out the window towards Northeast Philadelphia, and saw this storm ripping through. It was just this past weekend. Being in the city, you don't normally get to see a storm roll in like this. The pictures may not be 100%, I'm still working on figuring out the gallery and my camera.
In the meantime, it's about 90* here today, with 90% humidity and storms brewing up everywhere. It was torrential just a 1/2 mile from here, but still bone dry at my office.
