I will be heading to the Titusville/Cocoa Beach area of Florida next month. I am looking for a place that I can drive my vehicle right to the beach...as in park riht on the freaking sand and have the ocean touch my tires....anyone know where I can do that at?
i just got back from there about a month or so ago, don't know anyplace but i am sure there is one, to crowded for my taste. the space museum is nice though!
As far as I know, you can still drive on the beach at Ponce Inlet, just a little south of Daytona or north of Cocoa. It's been a couple of years since I was over there but at that time you still could. Got out of the truck and opened the lawn chairs and sat right in the surf!! Great!!

There's no place near Cocoa/Cocoa Beach or Titusville to drive on the beach. You will have to go north to New Symrna Beach or Daytona. I would double check to those city's (try their websites). After the storms last year, many of the beach accesses were closed. You can also try Ormond Beach or Palm Coast. Daytona is your best bet.
Daytona is about 35 miles north of Tville. US 1 north from Tville to Port Orange (slow down going thru Oak Hill, the speed limit is 45 and they WILL ticket you), east on Dunlawton, over the intercoastal bridge. At the A1A stop light, go straight. I think that access-way is open.
You will find that if an area does let you drive on the beach, you will have a minimum distance from the ocean you have to park.

Yeah...probalem is that during the race weekend, the daytona beach area will porbably be just over filled....just wanted a beach to hang out on the day before ther race....
If you're looking for a nice beach to hang-out at, try Playalinda. It's on the Canaveral National Seashore. You can't drive on it, but it a great place. And it's in Tville (a couple of miles from downtown).
You can see the launch complexs from the access road...
I was at Daytona Beach during January. We were able to get my truck down by the water. It was later on at night, and there was hardly anyone around at all. We had to open up one of those barrier gates to get in, but we did it.
