Engine compartment Trim
In the engine compartment of these '70's trucks, was there some kind of "Trim" that mounted to the firewall just below the cowling vents, right near the downside corner?
On my rig, I have some remnants of what might be this "trim," but I am not sure what it is....

It's a Rubber Seal runner.
I replaced mine years ago , Two openings of the hood destroyed it.
They all go bad eventually.

Open Hood <>I looked at it again <> It was cracked and split in 3 places.

I had the same problem. New one lasted about a month. I left it off for ventilation. Doesn't rain much here.
