I Found It, I Found It (Repeat 7 times quickly.)
I Know,I Know...Try to restrain myself.
I found something about an hour ago I had been looking for, for about a year.
It is the Specifications Book for the 78 Trucks.
This contains all sorts of info regarding carb specs(fuel Systems),Emissions Spec and calibration codes & Settings for all engines in 78,Transmission specs.
Go Ahead Punk.....Ask Me A Question !
Okay, I'm done for now.....

Congrats mil1ion, I recently picked up 2 Ford Factory Light Truck Shop Manuals for an 82 Ford. So I understand your excitement. You name it, its in here. 
The wife is like , when I talk about it to her.
One is a Engine Shop manual, the other is a Body / Chassis / Electrical Shop Manual.

I've got two sets of paper Ford shop Manuals & one on CDRom.
This one I just found is a small book with very intricate info it.
It is much Like the Service specifications book.
They are about 4" x 8" > One is 1/2" think and the other 1/4" thick.

Are there any plans on offering the newer (80-86) service manuals on cd-rom? Not that it matters, the only 80-86 parts on my truck are most of the body.

Watch ebay or swap meets. I've picked up complete volume sets for 75,78,79 and as a bounus I got the little spec book and wiring diagrams.

In the storage/bedroom in the basement.
I was yanking out Christmas Decorations.
When I wne back down with empty boxes I went sifting through some plastic bags full of papers and a bag ripped and all the papers fell out,amoung them was some photos of my gold Mustang and this little spec book.
The cover is ripped but all the pages are intact.

I just just "borrowed" the entire 5 part shop manual plust the spec. book from work to work on my $300 78 f-100 I just got.........I work at a small speaker plant here in west kentucky and we have a rust bucket 78 f-600 and at some point somebody bought the OEM shop manual.it covers all the trucks made in 78 by Ford...........

larryn, Of course I don't have to tell you to keep your eyes and ears open, if they ever decide to get rid of those books!!!

After the Truck,License Plates,Insurance,Fuel,the first thing a person should buy for their truck is an Original Ford Shop Manual.
