Do you make your 8 in one stroke or with 2 circle's? I'm asking out of curiosity because I remember when I was taught this they emphasized the one stroke method, which is how I make mine. But I don't feel there is a right or wrong way, just whatever the individual feels more comfortable doing.
I used to make it as one stroke, but, when I took drafting in High School, they looked so nice made as Os, I just kept doing it. Besides. . . anyone can actually determine what is, now.
My penmanship is REALLY bad. My wife calls it 'chicken scratch.'
I do the two "o's" for 8's, diagonal line for the 7's, and tend to print everything I write. My penmanship is terrible. Has been since I got the old knucklebuster ruler shot from a nun teaching first grade.
Weirdo.. I dot my t's and cross my i's.. But I also cross my 7's when it looks like a 2. Anbody else do their two's like this: 2? Or do you do yours with the little loopy?
I do em' both ways depending on whether I am writing in cursive or printing. Drafting class got me too. But I also draw a diagonal line thru my zero's to distinguish the from letter O's. My job required writing strings of alpha-numeric sequences, so I needed a way to tell which was which.
Dialtone
it don't make any difference with me. i have been told many times i should be a doctor, because you can't read anything i write. half the time, i have to read it twice to understand it myself, and most of the time i print everytrhing
Kinda like everyone else in this thread--I print everything. Almost always print in all caps too. Several drafting classes in college, and got so used to typing everything in college that I can barely write anymore. My signature is more of a trademark than a written name. I cross 7s and Zs....otherwise they both look like 2s. As far as 8 goes....if I'm writing something for myself, I'll use one stroke. If I'm writing, say, on a work order or some type of form, I'll use two circles.
