I like the second lock. Since we can make it a three speed by flipping the overdrive button, you don't have much need for the old 1-2 combo like in other brands.
The second only is also good in very crowded parking lots.
Better power control, no shifting. When threading through the mobs in front of our Costco, I just put it in second. Takes off fine, since I don't want power, just control. and the half throttle makes mistakes much more unlikely. You got kids and grandmothers pushing against the truck as you drive, so all the control you can get is best.
