Does this not coincide with that law that is out(forgot the name); If they do not provide the parts (i.e. oil and filter) for free, then you can get anyone to do the work with the parts of your choice?
Interesting stuff here, but here is what bothers me, I have never heard of a warranty being voided if you didn't keep on schedule with the regular maint. I think they are just trying to scare you out of some money, afterall how many people really stick to the schedule verbatum and document it.
My father is one that says "if it ain't broke don't fix it" so preventative maintenance is foreign to him but he has never had a warranty claim denied becauce of lack of maint.
Of cource he is one of these that changes the oil every 20K if it needs it or not and gets 200k plus out of his cars. go figure.
Bottom line is keep an eye on your dealer, you know how they are, can't duplicate your problem until 36,001 miles then they find it right away and try to stuff you with the bill.
