some additive questions.
im looking intom some additives, I was wondering what is the best additive for the cooling sytem (to stop cavitation), the engine oil (for cleaning and lubing, is lucas's a good brand?), and also for the fuel system to clean everything.
Also, once in about evry 3 thousand miles my rig will be driving down the road and shut off completely, I then have to pull over and crank for about 10-15 seconds and she fires right back up w/ no problems what so ever. any ideas?
thanks.
There are others as well.
You have to match the correct addative to the antifreeze you run.
As far as a good oil addative, just use good oil with no addative.
Diesel Kleene
Stadyne
Power Service all make good addatives for cleaning, lubricating all year round and preventing fuel gelling in the winter.
There has to be more than mileage related to the engine just quiting.
