How was everyones 4th
I stayed home over the weekend and out of trouble for once. Went to watch the firework show in Hermann, It started ok then they had a accident right after they started and the whole display blew up. 3 workers were hurt 2 badly. That about sums up the weekend.

I ended up spending a few unplanned and unwanted hours in Spingfield...the wife wanted to tour the Exotic Animal Paradise just to the east on 44. All was well until we went to leave, and the car wouldn't start. Took about 2 hours until I got towed into Autozone since they were willing to let me work there and use some of their equipment. On the way there, the tow truck driver commented that a lot of times the cars will start after towing. Well, not this time. So I jacked it up, had the pump hotwired so i could test, had power to the tank. Priced the pump. $250-300, not in stock. Well, that wasn't gonna help. Thought about what the tow truck driver saidm started pounding on the tank, and the darn pump started running! Hasn't stopped working yet... Gonna tear it all apart anyway, the guage has been screwy for a while, so I suspect a ground problem, being a plastic tank...
I was sure wishing I had phone numbers for some of the local members... I was in Kirksville at 11 pm Tuffy... after all the fun I had getting there...

I was fine by the time I got to Kirksville, but at least there were still enough fireworks going off on the way I still got to see them. I got going about 7 in Springfield, and was able to keep rolling after that. I didn't have anyone's numbers BEFORE I went... didn't have any way to get them when I needed them... but I'm the same way, anyone that is silly enough to come up this way, I would be happy to let you have my info in case you should need help.
