Shocks
The Monroe Magnum (not the newer gas Magnums)shocks have been on my 76 F350 supercab for 20 yrs. They show no signs of leaking, but I'm thinking they may have lost some of their dampening capability. I'm thinking about gas magnums for a replacement, but I'd greatly appreciate recommendations from others.

If they arent leaking chances are they are still pretty good. You could do a bounce test just push hard like with your knee on the bumper a good shock shouldnt let the truck move up and down more than twice. Andy

I've been running the Gas Magnums for some time and really like them. NAPA has the same thing called Gas Grande I think. When I took off my old gas shock I discovered one of them was shot. It would not rebound by itself. Gas shock should spring out to full extention on their on if working properly.

Check yer bushings as well...you can replace or up grade them to urethane...after 20 years they're probably a little worn/cracked etc...Im getting ready to make this swap with all the bushings on my 79 f250
