If you can deal with replacing the entire system you'll be happier overall. Better flow and spool up onthe turbo etc. Yanking the muffler and adding the down pipe will help but the effort and money spent will not be much less than a full system. The MBRP down pipe is 144.00 in aluminized, the muffler shop is gonna charge you 50-75.00 for a total of 250.00 or so, if you install the down pipe. We can get you into a full systems turbo back for 356.00. That has a 3.5 inch down pipe and the balance of the system is 4.0 inches all of it mandrel bent etc etc. Plus a lot of folks that have straight piped on a 6.0 haven't liked the sound, you might but some don't etc. Call me if you have any questions etc.
