Cool Down
How important is the cool down period for the 6.0 Diesel.
Dealer has said that it not that big of a issue unless i have driven it a long distance then I should let it cool down some.
I do alot of around town driving, sometimes short distances 5 miles one way. I dont want to be waiting everytime I make a stop for the turbo to cool all the time. However I dont want to ruin it either.
and if you do let it cool down how long do you normally let it cool before shutting down the engine.

hey man i do the exact thing you do this is what i have come up with...I let mine get down to 350 no matter how long iv drivin i have i guage u may not...so do this let it cool down for about 30-45 secs everytime, if u wanna play it safe.. And i live in texas so its a little hotter down here u may live somewhere cold where you wont have to wait so long. hope that helped
