I've searched articles and info, and Google. Haven't found a good source of info. Can someone point me in the right direction? How much heavier are the newer F-150's over the older 03's? Thanks
Checked Edmunds site, they say 3990 for the lightest truck in 2003
and 4788 for the lightest in 2004.
Options would make a big difference, the lightest had a 6 stick in 2003, and a V8 automatic in 2004.
You can check any particular one you like there.

My '04 SCREW 4x4 weighs about 5600, according to the specs. That means it gained a little less than 500 pounds in the makeover. It also gained the ability to tow 2100 more pounds (in part because of the 3.73 axle). Combined with the frame, ride, better engine, etc., those 500 pounds are a very worthwhile trade-off.
