Gremlins in the Muffler!

I've heard this sound over the past few days but this afternoon I pinpointed the noise coming from the stock muffler. It sounds like a something is rolling around inside the muffler or a growling sound after I shut the engine off (after I've let it ideal for about 30 seconds). My truck (05 F250 CC 4x4) is only 1 week old and I have 1050 miles on the 6.0 motor. Any ideas?????

Are you sure it is not the turbo spooling down?

Sometimes what you hear is not where it appears to be.

It has more of a metallic sound so I'm not sure what it is but the sound is coming from under the truck near (or around) the muffler.

lay under your truck and have wife/girlfriend shut the truck off, just make sure she is not mad at you though

My 05, f-250 also sounds like sand is in the muffler when you cut it off,it has did it from day ,1. I have 3,400 miles on it and it runs great so far.
