Shouldn't be but maybe a little more than a shops price to change springs. It is a very easy thing to install, and should take less than an hour for the whole thing. I was able to install one for my friend in just under 45 minutes. Try reading over the directions, you don't have to be ASE Superguy to put these in, you don't even need a lot of tools. You can save money this way to buy something else to mod your truck.

Each shop has its own "by the hour" rates. However to make it look lower they sometimes list it in 1/2 hour. Most shops are $60.00+ per hour on up. You need to be able to let the suspension sag to relieve pressure from the front suspension. To place new springs or shims in my truck (Twin I beam) it takes a 9/16 wrench, and a 13/16 I believe for the bottom nut. If its a shim that slips over the top of the spring you only need the wrench. Either way you have to be able to take the pressure of the susp. A good jack w/ jackstands to the frame should work nice. Then its off you go. If your kit doesn't have directions in them, go on line w/ the manufacturer. If all else fails look at what you bought figure out where it goes and take apart what you need. You should remove the tire to make it easier to work on. You don't have to remove the hub assembly or anything like that.
