Thats what I was hoping to hear!!

I'll have to look into getting that rag joint replaced now, does not look too hard to do. See how those bolts are to get out!

Replacing the "Rag Joint"

I started to replace the rag joint in my truck, bought on of those "help kits" But its was quite diffrent than what was originaly there, the main difference was that there was only one stud?? not two. Has anyone used this kit before?

Blair, The play you are talking about before the steering feel is there, could be worn out track bar bushings, and or track bar bolt at axle housing. I have had both these problems over the years with these front ends.
