I was wondering what would be safe for lift and tires on a dana 50 ttb, i want 35's and probably a 4 inch lift, would this be safe and reliable? or should i find myself a D60?

Reason: title change
You can do a 4 or 6 inch lift of your Dana 50 TTB easily enough. Make sure that your new axle pivot brackets are high quality heavy duty units so that they will not flex the truck's frame cross-member.
Skyjacker makes an excellent lift system for this axle. It is not cheap but works very well.
If you go with the 6 inch lift you might have to change out the front driveshaft to one with a double cardan u-joint at the transfer case.
