Take a look at my gallery. I installed a set of sanderson headers and so far am very pleased with the outcome. Being 4 wheel drive I had the transfer case to contend with so I had the gentleman at the muffler shop run 2 into 1 and then out the back like stock. His initial question was "why not run true duals?". When I pointed out the facts; twice as many pipes, lots more bending, twice as many mufflers, twice as many hangars, mor things to get knocked off while playing in the dirt, his comment was "single sounds great. He went 2 1/2" from the collectors to a single 3" pipe to a 3" flowmaster, series 70, and 3" out the back behind the right rear wheel just like stock. My 400 motor can never flow enough to overload this exhaust and the sound is true Flowmaster.

I did the very same thing with my 72 f250.My 428fe sounds awsome.That truck has the cobrajet castiron headers.On my 75 f100 four by four i used manifolds off of an ft motor.FTs have a exhaust cross over that flows thru the intake. I fabed up a cover plate and welded it in.They ad a bit of weight but they have a three bolt collector flange witch i prefer.
