Is it possible to extract any error codes from the Truck's computer using a sequence from the cab? I have a laptop computer interface with the OBDII but I don't always have it in the truck. My neon expresses its codes by turning the key on/off/on/off/on and waiting. Is such a method available with the F250's?
Press the trip odometer reset and turn the key on to ignition. Keep pressing the reset button to go through all the tests. This gives you all sorts of info on the digital display. Error codes start with DTC.
NO WAY!!! That is shweeeet!! I'll use that one later today. Where did you find that little nugget? BTW... what are you doing up so late... I'm only up because of reflux. (BURP)
I was scouring the internet trying to find the DTC codes. I hooked up my OBDII and got no codes. I tried the trip miler/ignition key trick and got P9362 and D262. The link CmprSpecial cited above is helpful, albeit incomplete.
I haven't poped for the Helm Inc Manual yet. I will likely do so.
I just checked and it does. You just have to push reset and select at the same time. (they are two buttons on the 05) You also have to let go of it as soon as test shows up as it only gives you a second or so.
