poor handling
I own a 2000 excursion with approx 125000 miles. When coming to a hard stop the truck pulls hard to the left. We've replaced the brakes (including calipers)shocks, upper and lower ball joints, tires, had an alignment and still handles terrible. Any ideas?

Did it start all at once, or develop gradually? After all you've replaced, it sounds like something is bent. Did you hit anything? Did the alignment shop check toe-out on turns? It won't tell you what, but it will tell you if something in the steering is bent.

I'm a little embarrassed to admit this, but make sure your brake line is not twisted 360 degrees where it attaches to the caliper. I had the exact same problem and it took me some time to figure out. Hopefully this is it. If not, it could be a caliper. Autozone sells them for $38 if you give them the core. Lifetime warranty.
