Brake pedal was a bit mushy, so I figured that I'd check for leaks and flush the brakes. No leaks anywhere, and I flushed about 4 quarts of brake fluid through the system. There is no air in any of the lines - I'm positive of that since I used a vacuum pump on the bleeder screws and kept the master cylinder full. I did pull a lot of air out.
I've also had the ABS light on for a while, and I can't figure out how to pull codes. According to the Haynes and Chilton's, you can only get codes for an electrical fault.
So when I finished, the brake pedal was awesome - for about two or three strokes, then went back to the same old mush. The ABS light went out for two seconds, then came back. I bled everything again, and got the same results. I'm thinking either the master cylinder is going out or it's the hydraulic control unit. What do you guys think?
