there are some features that navistar is useing on the 6.4 that are from the cat back ground. such as the sequential turbocharging (acert technogly) and the meui fuel system. from what im told.
i amcurious how IH would get another 400cc's out of boring a 6 litre......... do not think the bore spacing is enough to allow that much larger of a bore.
almost HAS to be stroke increase....i cannot see them changing the entire engine design.........they NEED 400cc's to overtake dog and chubby in the torque war......... i do not see them changing the tq/cu" ratio, so they need more cu " to get there.

No, they just need a cylinder head that will stay BOLTED TO THE FRIGGEN BLOCK
I almost threw in the part about the horrod TTY head bolts......... maybe it is time for FORD to turn ARP into a tier one supplier for head STUDS......?
anyway, as i see it, they need 620ftlbs to compete with the other two competitors for bragging rights in commercials.........in the real world, we know who is still on top, with the lowest rating..
