what do you guys think this is worth?? It is up for auction tomorrow. It is supposedly one owner, 460, 4sp, 4x4. It has A/C on the panel inside, but none of the major parts are under the hood. It has some rust above the rain gutters above both driver side doors, pretty bad there, but none anywhere else. It has been a work truck for some time so it needs some work, but runs and drives alright. I am looking for a project truck and thought this might be a good one as they seem to be hard to find. Any input is appreciated, thank you!

A one owner 460 - 4x4 ?

I don't think so.

They never made them.

 

they never made them in 1/2 tons, some of the bigger trucks came with them, such as a F350 crew cab

 

Not being original.... probably not much more than 5500 depending on condition...

There never was a factory 4x4 truck with a 460/390/302.

 

it probably came with a 351m or 360 stock if it has a 460 you now this truck was a backyard mechanic special but a crewcab is very hard to find i would pay no more than 2,500.00

 

77 would be a 351M or 400, Check the 4th digit of the VIN number, H is a 351M; S is a 400. I think Y is 300 but I doubt they put many 300s in crew cabs.

 

It was supposedly one owner, he put in the 460 I believe. I am kicking myself right now, because I thought I could get it cheaper at auction when I could have bought it for 1800 bucks. Oh yeah, it was and XLT as well. That is what I get for being too cheap I guess.

Yeah, depends on your area and what shape all is in.

I have seen 4x4's crews go for as little as $2000 but they have been in poor shape. Then again with a rebuilt 460, nice tires, body/paint, interior, suspension I have seen them go for $12000+

 

it all depends on how bad someone else wants it :P
