at cruise i will read about 5 psi with stock programming and around 7-8 with a higher performance tune and my wastegate spring is cranked all the down, so the boost sounds normal. and as kwick said the wastgate actuator (gold thingy) does not blow air out. you may also check the boots from the intake manifold (under the turbo) they are kind of hard to get to, i did find one of mine leaking a little
The intake wheel sucking sound that I was describing earlier sounds very similar to a shop vac running while detached from the can, minus the 25,000rpm electric motor whining sound.
The intake leak hissing noise will sound like compressed air coming out from somewhere. It will be similar to what a tire hose at a service station sounds like but larger and lower pressure.
It will convert that vacuum-cleaner-on-steroids sound to a nice big rig turbo whistle.
For me it was
No more power, that only comes with a change in programming to give you more fuel.
And you'll get rid of all your turbo stall chuffa chuffa chuffa sound coming out of the intake under very heavy load.
