Brake Dust
Lately I've been noticing a lot of brake dust on my front right rim on my 85 F150. All other rims are fine but the front right is constantly full of brake dust. Two other things I've notice too is that my brake pedal doesn't depress smoothly (it doesn't pulsate), and at high speeds, the truck sometimes vibrates. Any suggestions on where to look first?

Brake Dust
My 96 F-150 is doing the exact same thing. I get a wierd vibration when applying the brakes at high speeds, except mine will pull to the right once in a great while, very inconsistant. My front end ( 2WD ) is overdue to have the bearings repacked, not sure if that will help the vibration or not. I will let you know.

Brake Dust
Excessive brake dust only on one wheel,if both wheels have identical brand/quality pads,is more likely caused by a sticking caliper piston on that side. After a drive, very carefully feel the wheel of both sides to measure a temperature difference. The suspected wheel will be much hotter to the touch if the caliper is sticking. The vibration you experience could be from a warped rotor caused by the excessive heat of the brakes. The increased pedal effort could be related to the sticking caliper as not only will the piston not release,it will not apply easily either.
