gas selector switch???
Hi is there any way to bypass the dashboard gas selector switch on a 1988 f 150 351w auto trans?? truck is stuck on the road need to move it asap!!!

I had two full tanks on my 88 and I know the blue hose on the selector valve is the rear tank and the gray is the front. If you need to remove the steel gaurd and switch the hoses to get the gas from the tank that operates. It is a temporary fix but will get you home to fix it the right way. I run only off the rear tank now with a correct fuel gauge and saved the money for a valve. This truck is not my only vehicle and is also not my daily driver so keeping the money spent on it down to a minimum is my goal. I only use it for short trips to town and the mud boggs now and then. Hope this helped you some.
