Torqueshift Tranny service
Just wanted to get some input as I am just about due for my first service on my truck(03 F350 Dually 4x4 FX4 SC 6.0). I plan on doing the service myself and just wanted to know how many of you have done it and approx. how many quarts will it take to refill, as this mercon sp fluid isnt cheap, thanks for any input from all, Brian.P.S. I know the owners manual states it takes about 17.5 qrts to fill a dry tranny .just wanted some real input, thanks again.

the 17.5 is if you drain the pan and t/c the pan gasket is reuseable and so is the filter so no need to change either. there will be a extra quart or so left in the tranny cooler no need to worry about that. just get the most out and refill add about 4 quarts at a time if you add it all at once there will be no room for all the fluid and it will come out.
