Looks like their Master price didn't include for sealing rings, gaskets, lip seals ect.. Think you needed to buy both sets to get all the frictions, steels ect. and then the hydraulic kit.. Looks like 5.5 and some change... And then the TC and.............

I own all makes....Ford...Gm...and ummm....Dodge. So if your worried I would have been gone the day I came here to FTE. I consider myself non brand loyal but I do very much like my 6.0L

LMAO--TIM knows I LOVE my FASTFORDDIESEL---I'm just saddled with drivin my old chebby while MAMA gets to have all the fun kickin the crummin's butts. I'm comtemplating all the "deals" floating around right now from all the dealers. I REALLY want one of those 6.4 twins that are coming in 06 or 07, so I'm just gonna keep on saving my nickles and dimes for that day. I work with a bunch of Dodge guys that are driving badly maintained company trucks (7.3's with standard tranny's) that complain cause they can't get 10k out of a dino oil change and expect a vehicle to last. The MAIN store got 7 new crummins for service trucks and all they do is thump their chest and boast how GREAT those things are. Told em all--CAN"T TOUCH DIS FASTFORD.........
CAUSE THEY CANT............

6.0 Tranny Problems

Love the truck hate the transmission...I have had the transmission rebuilt twice, in three days. Guy was towing a trailer (#6000) for me 367 miles one way...It went to three differn't ford houses and was rebuilt for the last time in AR. Well it failed (Torque convertor, planetary, plates) on its way back home on the same afternoon it was "fixed". Service guy where the truck laid down again, said he was leaning towards replacing the whole unit this time (DUH). Truck has 18,000 miles on it, lost the lower radiator hose at 17,000.00.....what the heck is going on with Ford...We have 5, 99' F250's with 7.3's in them that run perfect with 140,000 and above mileage.

Sounds like an issue with the shop you chose rather than Ford.

Read some of the articles listed here on the site. About the lower hose rubbing you found out the hard way. When I joined FTE and saw this issue I crawled under my truck to make sure my hose was okay.
