To answer your question about ever useing the products. I used
the 80 or 90-140 in my rear end ??? haaaa know what your thinking, no i used it in my trucks diff and seems to be quit good.
I also used the oil stabilizer once in my truck till i saw someone
put up a post about how it does'nt work but how it separates in
your engine and bubbles or somethin. Ill stick to the ER stuff i get
for the wifes exped ( Energy Release) its expensive and have'nt heard anything bad about it yet.

Btog is way biased toward shaefers pruducts. I,ve heard alot about lucas foaming, and I have a buddy with one of those clear diff covers, lexan or something. We drained and then filled with Lucas 75w-140 (or something like that, BUT it was Lucas oil) Drove around, fast slow offroad ect. guese what, no foam! If your running the test and have a bias one way or the other you will TAINT the test. Simple. If run and used in the manner intended, most, not all oil additives work as advertise. Think about it they have to or they would be sued out of buisness. I don't use alot of additives because I believe that a certified oil has pretty much all the additive package it needs for its intended purpose. I do use a oil additive that has zinc as one of its main components, cause I've heard that the EPA has cuased oil manufacturers to reduce the levels of zinc and in some cases get rid of it all together. Zinc I have been told is important in reducing wear in metal to metal contact. I use lucas power steering stop leak in my power pump, synthetic in my diffs and transfer case. I run dino with an oil additive in my engine and I opt for a quality filter made by champion. I use a large paper napa gold air filter with a prefilter. I don't know why I'm metinioning all this but here it is anyway. All I recommend is read and learn how this stuff works and make your own eduacated decision.

While that would still not mimic all real world conditions inside of your engine or
gearbox, it would be much closer than this tabletop, room temperature, science
project he has on display now.
LOL!

Ambient temps not relevant?

At temps below the 175-205 mark is when it is most relavant as this is when the most wear occurs!

If the stuff whipps like mad at ambient, what makes you think it won't at operation temp?

Didn't bother to check the MSDS? You'll find that it's very similar in composition to 80w90 gear oil, and has a pile of sulfur in it.

I've actually done a similar experiment my self on my wifes explorer differential. After a 5 mi run with a 50-50 mix, the stuff drained out like a bunch of beaten egg whites.

You sure as heck won't catch me putting that whipping garbage in my 7.3L PSD which uses the motor oil to fire the injectors!

I occasionly use the fuel cleaner and once used the transmission treatment in a Honda with 200,000 miles. The results of both were good.
