I have a 98 EB 4x4 exp. 161,000 miles I was thinking about changing the Oxygen Sensors and was wondering what are the benefits of doing this. And is it easy to do?
Well, If your talking the front O2's (which I will assume you are) the number one benefit would be possible better gas mileage. Your engine might run a bit better, since the new O2 will not presumably be "lazy" like the old ones with that mileage on them.
As for removal, I found the easiest way was to remove the front wheels and access them though the wheel wells. It was much easier to get a wrench in there than to try from the bottom.

me too...pull the wheels...another benefit is that you'd be helping the environment...also, if you live somewhere they check o2 levels during inspections it will help your readings...
