Cant find The Coolant temp sensor and Oxygen Sensor

Hi Everybody,
Could someone help find those things?
I searched on the forum and could not really find something with pictures.
I have a 1981 F100 4.9 and I cannot find the Oxygen sensor, I recently had my engine replaced and in the new engine, It looks like there is no sensor...

Also, My temperature gauge is not working, I think Im going to look at the coolant temp sensor first, do you guys know where is it? Or should I look for somethingn that the sensor?

Thank you a lot!

1981 would not have a oxygen sensor. No computer. Your temp sensor would be for the guage in the dash only, it would have a single wire going to it, and be located up high around the front of the engine. You should have a oil pressure sensor also, probably down next to the oil filter. The oil and the water temp wires are red/white and white/red, forget which is which.

No computer or oxygen sensor unless it's a California truck, in which case it'd probably have an EEC-III ignition system.

The temp sensor should be on the intake manifold. Iirc Franklin has it right with the colors.

Yes it looks like there is no oxygen sensor on my truck BUT
I recently did an engine swap from an old piston-melted engine to a used one in much better condition.

Look at this picture, you will see that there was an o2 sensor on my old exhaust manifold right where the exhaust pipe connects, why is that? Unless it is just the manifold that comes from somewhere else? California? ahah
Also, just by curiosity, do you guys know what is that pipe doing, from the manifold to the bottom of the carburetor? (it probably has a name but I dont know it sorry!) Because in my new engine this is just cut down and the pipe goes nowhere.

For the coolant sensor, I looked and find something, I dont know if it is the oil one of the coolant temp one you can see it in that pic.

And then looking further down I found a cable that was not connected to anything, maybe that is the coolant temp sensor connector?

Also, I found that on my truck, was that supposed to work with the o2 sensor before my engine got replaced?

Bein so low on the engine I would think that the sensor you showed would be the oil pressure sender. What color is that loose wire? That looks like it could be it.

Temp sender. It is at the very front of the engine just to the right (drivers prospective) of the valve cover. I do have an aftermarket intake manifold though so it may differ. The wire is red with a white stripe (and had broken on mine so I am glad I looked.

This is my oil pressure sender. It is white with a red stripe.

That wire is the temp sender wire. I will look for the sender in your pics.

Pretty sure the sending unit is on the other side of the engine, in the back near the firewall.

If you can find it you should be able to just stick your hand back there and slip that boot on the stud.

Chris is correct. Look on the block under the exhaust manifold between #5 & #6 cylinder.
