I have been around several trucks with both 4 and 5" exhaust. I wouldnt say the 5" is any louder, but much deeper tone than the 4" for sure. if I had it to do again i would have the 5" for sure..
2003PSD do you have any pictures of your dual exhaust

The system he has is going to exit just like our MBRP system do, the pics we have on our site don't have the 6 inch tips but they do have 5 inch tips so that will get you an idea what they look like overall. We do have the 6 inch tips in stock if that's the way you decide to go though. Call us if you have any questions etc.
I have a Magnaflow catback on my 2001 trans Am...
Magnaflow mufflers do not use baffles like other mufflers,they use ceramic packing and as they "burn in" they get a little louder but still stay mellow....
The thing with them is my muffler is straight thru with no drone like a Flowmaster would have.....
