Need some upgrading on my 7.3 "Help"

I have a 2000 f-250 7.3 . I haven't done any motor work what so ever ! The only thing I have done is bought a superchip programmer and its just not cutting it anymore ! I need some thoughts on what I can do to gain some hp and better mpg's . I'm thinking maybe exhaust or air intake but don't have any idea on what is a fair cost or what brands to look into .
Any suggestions please and thanks ahead !!

Cheapest and loudest is the 6637 air intake. A stock exhaust with a muffler replace will help with exhaust flow. Check the EBP sensor and tube. Check codes. Also the hutch mod for fuel restrictions.

The cheapest way to go is, #1 A 6637 air filter, #2 a 4" turbo back exhaust system, #3 Gauges, EGT/ Trans Temp / Boost. and #4 a good tuner like DP or PHP. These together will make your truck come alive and can be done for around a little over $900 and well worth it if you do the labor your self. You may only gain a mile or two MPG but the performance will be night and day.
And to say cheap, these are not cheap performance parts.
There are other cold air intakes you can buy but the price go's up.

Those won't get you any more or less HP and MPG than other types of exhaust systems or mods. There is only one turbo outlet so for two stacks you'll just be splitting your exhaust with a Y-pipe. Most race trucks run one stack. These facts are the genesis of the saying: "two for show, one for go"

Those delete kits are for other trucks, no EGR on the 7.3L

Triple would be a pilar pod that holds 3 gauges, quad would be four. No egr delete on the 7.3, thats a 6.0 thing.

Check out Guzzles page here, good write ups on simple mods and maintenance. Welcome to guzzle's Ford PSD Web Pages

What kind of HP are you looking for? what kind of budget are you on?

We are more than willing to help you spend money, just gotta know how much you want to get into this. Personally, I would get the truck running 100%, make sure you have no boost/exhaust leaks and then I would look at a custom tuner. I ran a Superchip Cortex for a couple years before I discovered DP. I will say that it was night and day.

Keep asking questions when you need to, Thats what we are here for
