I am looking at buying a 05 Expedition Eddie Bauer. The one that I am looking at is $47,889. I know that there is a $4500 rebate right now going on and then I will also get the $1000 loyalty rebate because I will be trading in my explorer, which I should get $4200 for it. I have heard about the American stable horse asociation that gives you $500 for joining towards a new ford and then there is some aviation asociation that does the same. I will be at around $37189, which is still pretty steep. I am going to college and I will need something dependable. Does anyone know of any other rebates for the expedition that are going on right now.
I live in Illinois and I am going to college in Wyoming with my kid and girlfriend. We will be back often to visit family and friends. I want something new and has size to it as well. My explorer dosent do that for me.
members beware.....
X-Plan is not the best deal that can be had on a Ford.....
many many Ford dealerships will sell you a Ford AT or BELOW invoice.... For example, X-Plan on a F150 is typically a little ABOVE invoice.. (mine was $183 above invoice)....
i didn't realize this until i was half way through my purchase... but it was worth $183 to me to be halfway through the transaction...
so.. if you wanna shop around or take the FTE offer from Mark or Polar then you can definetely get a Ford BELOW invoice... then you take off the rebates from there......
The top of this thread section has 'em listed for the East and West Coast. Those are the minimum deals- often there's "invisible money" that we can pass along to improve the deal.
I am not sure where you are talking about. And what kind of invisible money is there. Basically what I would like to know is what is the most that I would be able to get off of the price.
This forum is called New Ford/Lincoln/Mercury Buyer. At the top of the forum overview page, accessible at https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/f...splay.php?f=22, you can see a few threads labeled "Read First" -- these contain important information (and actually you should have read these already before your first post). The first two "Read First" threads describe the East and West Coast FTE Purchase Programs.
There's a lot of information here on FTE that you can glean from doing searches and reading the threads that are already out there. Generally you can get more information that way, and just ask a few follow-up questions in a new thread, rather than posting a thread that suggests you haven't done a lot of homework. You may also find that you'll get more help that way.
In this case, what you should do is find out what the invoice price is on the truck you're interested in, rather than MSRP. No one should be paying MSRP for a new Ford, period. If you read up on posts, learn about invoice prices, X-Plan, rebates, and ways to negotiate a good deal, I'm sure you'll find there's a wealth of information here on FTE that will tell you exactly what you need to know. And after you've done some digging around to get some answers, if you still have questions (which you almost certainly will) then I'm sure there will be plenty of folks here (myself included) who would be happy to help out.
OK- lets try this a different way. A '05 Expy EB that has a MSRP of $47,889 should invoice for about $42445. In our region, the rebate is an even $5000, taking you down to $37445. There is a owner loyalty deal out there, but it's regional- out here, it's only if your current Explorer/Expedition is coming off of lease. there's also a mail-out offer going in some areas offering to make up to two car payments ($1200 max) towards the purchase of a new one.
There is typically a limit of how many offers can be combined, and this varies by region. Forddirect should list the available incentives by your zip code. There are FTE offers that come in below these numbers.
re: Horse owners association offers. check the qualifiers- typically you have to have joined two months before taking delivery.
