06 expeditions?

06 expeditions?
I have a dealer trying to sell my brother in law a 2006 Expedition of the lot. Are they out yet? The dealer says he can have a $5000 rebate on an 05 or a $3000 rebate on an 06. At Fordvehicles.com I can't even build an 06. Is this dealer trying to take advantage of my immigant, english as a second language, BIL or is this really possible? I can't get to the dealership anytime soon to confirm on my own.

Found time to go to dealer and yes they did have 06 expeditions on the lot. They quoted my BIL $44k for a loaded limited that MSRPs at $47K. Through research I have found that he can probably get one for around $42K (maybe $38k for 05) except it must be Cashmere, have DVD and have the Navigation system. Anyone have an idea how hard this would be to find in GA? The dealer he has been talking to does not have a great reputation. This is a military town and I think all the dealers here are high compared even to Atlanta. Jeff if you read this, I can't persuade him to go to NY to pick one up so no joy there.

I've got a 2006 Limited (black 4x4) w/ everything for $41806 w/ the rebate (it stickers for $$48700). or a white '05 Eddie Bauer for $34381, including rebates.

If it was me I would already be looking for plane tickets. He really wants 4x4 but thought he couldn't find one. I talked to him, but he doesn't want black. Probably wouldn't take it for free. If he can't find the same exact truck for less he'll probably buy the one he found. First rule of car buying, don't fall in love with the car. I think we've pretty much violated that one. Thank's anyway.

I didn't talk to that dealer personally but my BIL said they told him $3k rebate. English is his second language so he could have been confused. He doesn't like any of the 05s on the lot and won't shop for another one somewhere else on his on. This evening he talked them down another $1k to $43k on the 4x2 06 Cashmere (he loves the color) one. I think he's going to buy it tomorrow if I can't talk him out of it.
