I noticed Violjohn78 has been where I am now. What did you end up doing and what would you do differently if you were to do it again? I noticed you said you drilled 4 new holes on the drivers side, you did not use any of the existing holes from the bench seat?
No those holes just wouldn't line up. On the drivers side ended up welding 1/4in squares of metal (1/4 thick) with the bolts going through them to reinforce the hole itself. Something I noticed one I had thast done was that the floor pan was flexing. under the original bolt holes you have a c channel for reinforcing the pan, I added more material on top of the pan, around where the mounts are. Driver seat was relatively easy, the passenger side was a pain because on the bronco (95) that i took the seats out of the passenger floor pan wasn't flat, it had some odd shapes but on my truck it's flat, ended up bending the bracket. I didn't have a welder at the time so icouldn't cut and reweld the bracket so it was flat. I will be doing this sometime once i get some other projects done. (i don't carry passengers that much)
Probably the best way to do this is add material to the inner side, also put angle iron underneath (which I will be doing to both sides) Welded preferably to reinforce the INNER sides the pan. The passenger seat i think best way is to cut the rear left part of the bracket and reweld it flat so it'll sit nicely on the floor, I will be doing that this summer
