engine swap
What set up do you have in your F-150 anyway? I assume that you didn't just install a stock 351 with all its emmision equipment and the stock exhaust manifolds and I know you dodn't have single exhaust. I am comparing my new to me '85 F-150 4x4 with a 351 to my "shouldn't have sold it" '81 F-150 4x4 with a 300. Both were (engine wise) just as stock as they were new and both have over 100,000 miles, I am comparing how at the same milage the OLDer 300 didn't leak, didn't miss, started great, and had ***** to my Newer 351 that leaks EVERYwhere, misses, starts great, and also has *****.
Also my '81 with the 300 spent most of its life pulling hay wagons, and cattle around the farm and then it sat behind the building for 1 1/2 years before I got it.
The '85 with the 351 I bought from the secound owner and it never pulled a thing (no hitch) and the owners mostly just used it for transportation.
