Knocking Noise

I have a 2002 explorer, and lately I have been hearing this knocking noise. I was told it sounds like a octane knock. And I was told to try putting a higher grade gas in and add a can of octane boost. I have done that a few times and still hearing the noise. Any suggestions?

Look for arcing spark plug wires. Could also be that you have some carbon build-up inside the engine and injectors. This stuff cokes up in there then gets and stays hot goofing up the fuel ignition in the cylinders.
