'76 F-250 SCS/Frigette help?
Hello all, our 76 has an SCS/Frigette aftermarket a/c unit that mounts right up tight under the glove box with the controls on the vent assembly to the left of the glove box door. There are two controls, off l/m/h (blower control) and a city/highway (I'm not sure what this is supposed to do..thermostat, maybe?) switch. The whole thing works very well but the blower control switch is fried and needs to be replaced. My problem is I have talked to the people at SCS/Frigette and they are about worthless...they have no parts or information regarding this unit so I'm up the creek as far as help from them goes...Does anyone have any info and /or suggestions on where I might find some informed advice? Thanks in advance, Linda and Rick
im looking to i went to a junk yard an took the whole unit out of a pickup but i ditn pick up the switch if you could tell me how your is routed so i could hook mine up correctley. would be real nice of you. other than that i have no help for you. mine doe s not have city hyway but but with city it might kick off when on the throttle. and kick back on when just driving normal but not really sure.
SCS/rigette is an extremely large supplier of parts both OE and aftermarket.
www.bought4less.com sells their parts and has the rotary blower switch in stock.
They are about $5-$6
